I'm happy to say that we had a record warm temperature yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't get to go anywhere. Friday is usually the day I set aside to do most of my more mundane things. If I see something interesting along the way, I'll stop for as long as I can so I can get pictures or whatever else.
Honestly, I had a little unusual extra time yesterday. I was all set to go out to see what the new warm day had in store for me, and I fell sound asleep. The last thing I remember was wondering how much the various rivers, lakes, and streams had melted. It sure did look good out there.
I woke up right in front of my computer, seeing that all of my extra time was now gone. I guess today's adventure was only the ones I had in dreamland. I can't even remember any good dreams though. Aaahhhhh!!!
What I do have for you though is the one lonely little photo at the top there. It's a good representation of the kind of weather we've been having lately. The leaves aren't back on the trees yet, but the sky is a nice shade of blue, and the breezes are warm and comfortable. Spring is coming!
The next few days will see rain and the temperatures will drop some. But we won't be seeing the deep cold that we were having before. There will even be a few warmer days here and there. I'll be doing my best to get out even if I have to do it in the rain. Maybe I can time things right to avoid too much wet weather.
I'll be looking at all of this as a fun challenge. The beginning of rain usually brings out the animals. Maybe I can get some good pictures as they run away. Or maybe I can get some good shots of a squirrel attacking me for bothering it too much. That would be great! Tune in then to find out what strange thing I come up with.

ReplyDeleteGreat effort for the hardwork. LOL.
Be careful with the time change tonight...you may stay in dreamland longer than planned! Wow your snow is gone!!! We still have lots of white yet in the U.P.but today was in the 40's and melting all over the place. The snowbanks are lower than when we left for our 3 week vacation,so that was nice. I am SO anxious for spring up here!!!
ReplyDeleteGoldensparks - Thanks, I'll be sure to do that.
ReplyDeleteSharkbytes - It's still too early here too, but it's looking better. I wish I would have waited a day for my nap though.

Rainfield - I've had some strange journeys the last few days. I think I need to come back now, but I'm going to have to hike in the rain now. It will rain here for the next two days.

The Retired One - All we have left is ice on the water, and the rain we are getting should wipe that out. Now we're expecting some flooding. I think it'll get cold at least once more for us, and maybe twice for you.
Your post continues to remind us why we photograph.
ReplyDeleteI love a simple image that usually tells more than a cluttering photo
Roentarre - Yes exactly! That's what I was trying to achieve here with only one today. I usually try to put up just enough photos to illustrate my story correctly.
