Squirrels From The Past

The Answer for Find the Squirrel will come later today, after the game winds down. I want to give everyone a chance. So in the meantime here's some squirrel photos from past posts. Each has it's own story. There are links. Maybe you'll enjoy checking each one out.

Is It Really A Squirrel?

The Elusive Black Squirrel

My Staredown With A Squirrel

There you have it. I loved these photos. The squirrels deserve all of the credit for them. Most of them posed just right for me. See you later today, Michigan time.

  1. I've never seen a black squirrel and had no idea such a critter exists. Must be a genetically enhanced super squirrel!

  2. That red squirrel is so perfectly like a squirrel which you see in Disney cartoon. Too unreal to be real...

  3. We didn't seem to have any squirrels around here until I started putting out bird food. Now they are happy to visit my yard! (and fatter!)

I actually just bought a t-shirt for my son that just says, "Squirrels," with a cartoon squirrel on it... he loves it!

  4. Our squirrel that rarely comes near the house was in the yard today. Also saw it on New Year's Day. Too fast to catch a pic. But it's really odd that it's up here... there's nothing near the house that a squirrel really wants to eat which makes me wonder if times are tough back in its normal territory.

  5. Rainfield61 - The squirrel might say thanks, but he was angry with me for disturbing him.

The Hawg! - A super squirrel would be cool, but these black squirrels are quite common around here now.

Kruel74 - You're right, and it's the only Red Squirrel I've ever seen. I hear they are more common in the eastern U.S.

AMH615 - That the way squirrels seem to be. Always around when you don't need them. Then when you're looking, they all vanish.

I wonder if I can get one that says, "Rats", like in my name. Somehow I don't think it would have the same effect.

Sharkbytes - Maybe your squirrel is looking for some sort of mischief to get into. They seem to really love doing that. I think they have cats beat for curiosity.
