She didn't get to keep it, though, because my human wrestled it away from her and it flew away. She and my human had a semi-deal: she could hunt if she wanted as long as she ate her catch, but she was not allowed to hunt in front of my human. And she had to bring the lizards she caught back alive (which she actually did, a number of times, as special gifts to my human). The cat before me stuck to the deal about 95% of the time.Sparklehttp://htnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637168036712963543.post-32732821717677857752011-12-08T01:39:56.514-06:002011-12-08T01:39:56.514-06:00The poor little innocent dove was atlast saved by ...The poor little innocent dove was atlast saved by the brave Isabella. And the lurking cat had to leave the place with real disappointment, thats sad for it. There used to be a lot of them. Just when I want them here they don't come. Maybe they would catch that last rat. Because I know if there's one rat out there he's got a female somewhere that will have more babies. But for now "Oscar" will live free.Ginnymohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08865222893888430709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637168036712963543.post-30417908293860245182011-12-07T21:42:26.021-06:002011-12-07T21:42:26.021-06:00Great reality story Ratty!Great reality story Ratty!jeanlivingsimplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08820800238853344959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6637168036712963543.post-49280902177776049712011-12-07T20:58:09.291-06:002011-12-07T20:58:09.291-06:00Yea for Isabella saving the birdie! All your lesson to stop and watch but not to touch paid off when she saw something breaking the rules.

I am surprised that the mate to the dove-they are almost always in pairs- didn't give a warning call. They usually do. Perhaps kitty got it on a previous day.
