Guess Where The Squirrel Is

I'm going to try something a little different today. This is going to be a little interactive game. I'll be doing different games like this from now on. They'll all be related to this blog in some way. You might have already guessed what this first game is. If you haven't, I'll tell you after a little background story of how this first game came about.

I was out hiking at one of the nature parks today, and I was trying to get a picture of a squirrel that was running around out there. This thing was giving me the hardest time. Every time I would try to get the shot, it would hide from me. If it would have just ran off, I would've went on my way. But it kept coming back! I think it was teasing me. I followed it with my camera for about five minutes, and I finally got a picture.

When I got home, I was looking through all of my pictures from the day to see what I had, when I came across this one. "It's just a picture of a forest", you say. But no, it's not just a picture of a forest. It has something hidden in it. That's right, you guessed it. It's a squirrel! In fact it's the same squirrel that was so busy teasing me earlier today.

When I looked at this picture, I spotted the squirrel pretty quickly. That's because I knew what I was looking for. But I figured no one else would see it so fast, because it's very hard to see it in this picture. And just thinking about that evil little squirrel gave me an idea. I decided that if he wanted to play hide and seek, I wanted to help him. Let's make a game of it.

So here's the game. The squirrel is hidden in this picture somewhere. Only the front part of him is really visible. And you have to click on the picture so it will expand, to really be able to see him. When you think you've found him, tell me your guess in the comments section. I'll reveal his location, at the bottom of this post, after someone guesses correctly, or after there are ten valid guesses.

I know what you're thinking. You think this is just a ploy to get some extra comments. You are very correct. I won't lie about it. That's exactly what it is. But if you want to know where the squirrel is, leave a comment and make your guess. It won't hurt a bit, and you might have some fun along the way.

Here's The Solution

  1. I found it! But to tell where would be cheating since I saw the original photo.

  2. It's right there in front of me. I won't give the location away either.

  3. There have been a lot of people that looked at the picture today, but I guess no one wants to guess yet. Even an incorrect guess is a valid guess, and a good try.

  4. I FOUND IT! Haha, it took me a while =)

Only tip I'll give is that it's near the middle~

  5. I'll say that's a guess, Anonymous. Be more specific, and you might have a chance to win. I'll mention the winner, if there is one, when I officially reveal the location.

  7. Oh, and the one on the lower right between the two little trees also. Or is that a broken branch? GIVE ME THE ANSWER!!

  8. Good try Scott, but not quite there. If you ever find it, go ahead and guess again. And comments are always welcome :)

Once someone gives a correct guess, or there are ten tries, I'll give everyone the answer.

A lot of people have looked, but only a few, such as yourself, have been brave enough to make a guess. I don't know why. The squirrel is pretty easy to see, when you find it.

  11. WE HAVE A WINNER! Serica is the first one to guess correctly where the squirrel is. Not only did you guess correctly, but you gave very good detail. Thanks for your guess!

Tomorrow I'll put up a new post pointing right at the squirrel, and congratulating the winner some more.

    Great job Serica!
